◠ THE ART OF JOURNEYING : An Existential Artistry Reframe ◠
✹ imagine the human experience as a road trip.
what if you decided to redefine “direction” as your reason for journeying instead of just where you’re headed?
having an idea of where you’re going can be important and beautiful, but it’s not the most necessary. your reason for journeying, however, is what taps you right into the root of the experience, and will determine a lot of how you journey —
like how you’ll respond to a flat tire. or how comfortable you are following your gut and settling in a random city that called your name as you were passing it. or even the amount of sustainable energy you have to keep driving.
what happens when the emphasis is placed on the lifelong voyage we’re all on, instead of all the destinations we will inevitably touch as we travel? how much better can we digest the transience and iterative nature of being human? and how much more would we celebrate each mile marker we cross, each place we land in?
◠ whenever i offer a reframe, it’s often one that plugs you into the center of your experience, and allows you to play with the knobs and settings inside of it. this enables you to support what you’re creating and experiencing, not through formula, but intentional experimentation that helps you learn as you live. through my words and artwork, i create worlds around big stops on my own journey! these reframes are my version of souvenirs — things you and i can come back to as philosopher’s stones from my human experience. ◡
